Our implementation goals
The interface uses semantic page landmarks, persistent form labels, visible keyboard focus, text alongside icons, responsive layouts, reduced-motion support, and familiar browser controls. The mission is untimed; experiment measurements are manually entered.
Using the experience
Use the “Skip to content” link to reach the main content. Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through links and controls. Native buttons work with Enter or Space. You can move through mission steps at your own pace, and a trusted adult can help record a learner’s spoken observations.
Ongoing verification
Automated browser and accessibility checks are part of release testing. They do not establish full WCAG conformance. Screen reader review, assistive technology testing, readability review, and usability testing with learners remain required before enrollment opens.
Current limitations
The demo is in English. It does not yet offer narration, translation, speech input, or alternatives to every physical experiment. An accessibility support contact must be established before public learner enrollment.
